It’s no secret that I keep a small circle, which has its pros and cons. Well this week I definitely felt the cons. I was recently gifted a season’s pass to Busch Gardens Williamsburg (thanks AJ) and I want to make sure I get to use it as much as possible. I did tell one of my close friends I have the pass but schedules must be coordinated first… Since I haven’t been working much lately I decided I would take a solo trip there. So on Wednesday, when the weather wasn’t too hot, I made my way to Busch around 1pm. I rode two roller coasters, the Lochness Monster and Alpengeist, with no problems, it wasn’t until I got to Apollo’s Chariot that things started to go downhill. (Ha ha downhill, roller coasters…whatever.) I was able to get on the first two rides with my crossbody purse on my side but the seats on Apollo’s Chariot are smaller so it wouldn’t fit. I couldn’t just leave it on the side like people do with their water bottles or stuffed animals they won because it could be stolen so the ride attendants made me get off. They said I could put my purse in a locker and then come back however I was in no position to pay for a locker (because I’m cheap). Thanks to that unfortunate experience I fully intend to NEVER ride Apollo’s Chariot again, in life. I’m a Taurus and the grudges I hold don’t end until 10 years after my death. (I know it’s technically my fault but I don’t care, it is the freakin principle of the matter.) In retrospect I realize that I probably could have taken my water bottle out but the moment is gone now… So after that my vibe was officially kilt and I went to sit in the shade since it was hot outside. I spent the rest of my day watching shows in the park and sighing heavily. All in all my solo theme park experience was a fail since most of the time I was bored. That being said….I can’t wait to go again next week! (With a smaller purse of course.)

So, the ticket was a gift, you want to have fun and there is nothing wrong with having fun solo. Use this as a lesson learned, don’t let others rain on your parade. Make HAPPY work for you!
