By now we all know that I’m the quiet type. The type you have to watch out for while at parties to make sure they didn’t fall asleep at the bar or ditch you because they got bored. But I’m also the type who will literally turn up to the maximum when they play my favorite song and dance like nobody’s business. And when the song is over I’ll go back to staring at my phone. I may even pen a new poem in the notes app.
That’s just me. It’s what I’m used to. I’m never going to be turnt to the max for the whole time while I’m at a bar or a club with friends. I do have my random bursts of energy though. Sometimes friends think I’m not having fun but that isn’t the case, I’m just on power save mode. (Now I sound like a XEROX machine.) The one thing that will get me to turn up for…let’s say 85% of the time is a good ol extroverted buddy.
I do have extroverted friends. I’d like to say they bring out the best in me. They encourage me to be more outgoing…well actually I think they dare me. Most of the time this is a good thing unless the dare involves tequila. (Brings back terrible memories.) Unfortunately my favorite extroverts are scattered across the country and I haven’t seen the majority of them since they graduated college. We all do a pretty good job of communicating with each other, but everyone needs a friend they can actually touch right? (That sounds gross Mel…)

This is what I’m looking for in a potential bff: A fun-loving, down to ride, music loving, intelligent, young woman who won’t scare easily when I start randomly singing about my day-to-day activities. Must like outdoor activities like walking through parks on sunny days and posing for photos or shopping in outdoor shopping centers. When shopping with me you must be super honest and never sugar coat things. Don’t let me buy those high wasted jeans that make my butt look long. Also, if we see cute guys do everything in your power to make me talk to them. It’s good for me…it’s character building. These are just examples of the things you may have to tell me to convince me to do outgoing things. And you must always encourage me to do karaoke if the opportunity presents itself. You know I want to anyways.
Am I asking for too much? I don’t think so. After reading my list of demands I realize that most of my friends already do these things for me. And when they aren’t available I have my sisters. If I could combine them all into one person I’d have a super friend! (Eh…that would probably end terribly.) Well the point is I have some awesome friends and family and friends that are like family but I’m always accepting applications! COME AND GET THIS GOOD FRIENDSHIP!!!!!!
I can be your friend in that case!! I’m an introvert in a sense that I need to recharge ever so often, large crowds make me anxious, and I observe before I figure out what to do next. People think I’m the total opposite because I tend to talk and try my best to make everyone around me feel comfortable, but I only do that because I hate awkward silences lol but yea…for whatever reason, I tend to gravitate more towards quiet people.
Lol that’s funny because the one and only time that you and I met we were not acting like introvert’s in the least bit! I once took a facebook quiz that described me as an ambivert which is somewhere in the middle…I wonder who invented this word and when but it seemed pretty accurate.
